Excel 2007 provides a great functionality for navigating through every elements through keyboard helping users to save time. Users does not need to remember key combination to complete a certain task.
We will be guiding on how to navigate into Excel elements through keyboard with Example, follow the steps below.
Example: Changing color of a selected cell i.e., A1
Steps:
1. Open Microsoft Excel 2007
To open go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Excel 2007
Microsoft Excel 2007 Interface opens as below:
2. Now press Alt key to show the assigned keys on the Excel elements and it should looks like below:
Now we can see the assigned keys i.e., H for Home, N for Insert and so on.
3. In order to go to Home tab press H and again it will show the assigned elements inside the Home menu as below:
4. In order set color of a cell we need to navigate to Fill Color option and it is assigned with H key, so press H and will looks as below:
5. Now you can navigate through keyboard using arrow key and select color of your choice. Here I am selecting the Blue color and press enter to accept. It should looks like below:
